Spring Inspiration...

The weather has been quite Spring like....So I thought I'd post some inspiring pics of flowers, birds and prettiness!!!! I love Spring, even though a lot of flowers are giving me hay-fever and general "itchiness" at the moment!!

New cushions- Vintage fabric!!

Just a little project this weekend!!! I set about making some delightful cushions for a lovely old bench seat that my Mum found for me. In fact she got one for myself, my sisters and herself, and we all love them! I've ended up placing mine outside and its lovely to sit on in the morning or afternoon sun. Anyway I found some funky vintage fabric in my studio to work with, and I had some old cushion inserts(the covers were becoming just a little bit feral) that i cut in half to make four narrow inserts perfect for the bench seat!!I can picture maybe a couple of hot pink cushions to lean against..... 

Well it was a rather lovely weekend again, if not quite as productive as the weekend before....Hope your day is Sunny xxx

Weekend Project....

What a lovely weekend!!! I managed to complete a project that I really didn't think I'd have time to finish in one weekend! as you can imagine weekends can be a little busy in our household! There was a party, a sleepover, Liv's pointe class, washing, cooking, a boxing session, a little yoga time with Beth, brunch and Juliet's choir performances!!

So, i was surprised to finish Mine and Andrew's bedroom makeover!!! With a little help from splendid helpers ofcourse... Andrew made our super gorgeous hanging lamps(clever) and the girls helped with a little painting.....

I painted the room in an elegant soft grey, and painted the bedside tables fresh white. I then just added a few new accessories- butterfly cushion(freedom), yellow quilt(tree of life), hanging lamps(clever husband), vase(freedom) with daisies, heart picture(I made from an existing frame and fabric hearts).
