Christmas Tree and Paper Doily Garland.....

My family and I put our tree up on the weekend((amongst other things- including, but not restricted to- swimming lessons, brunch for two(hubby and me!!!), Bunnings Warehouse(spent too much money), Art and design markets:), shopping, family Yoga, Yummy Creamy Thai Chicken(made by hubby), Delicous stewed fruit crumble(made by liv), a blow up pool to cool off in, a little renovating, Sunday dinner in the Ivy Bar....))


Our tree this year is a Branch...well branches... We spray painted them silver and pushed them into a big pot full of sand(the pot will be filled with a plant in January). We then popped on lots of pretty decorations, and seeing as the lights for the tree seem to have gone missing, we placed some Typo lights that we had, on it instead.....We are really happy with our sweet tree, which sits in our almost finished(back)family room....Will put pics up soon of this room!!

I also made a pretty doily garland last week and put it in the Suede Vintage window..........You can never have too many garlands.......

New Summer Window Display at Suede Vintage....

My Sister Lauren works at Suede Vintage now also!! And you may remember her guest blog on her paper craft, you can read it again here! So anyway when I suggested we do a new Summer display Lauren came up with some lovely paper POM POMS in yellow and pink.....Pink Lemonade..... My daughter Juliet also made some larger POM POMS for us to display..........The result IS rather sweet!

As we're leading up to Christmas I also filled a beautiful old suitcase with tissue and hand made gifts (including fabric and paper bunting, paper garlands, purses and sweet jewellery) that can be purchased for Christmas :) and popped it in the window............ Hope your Christmas shopping is coming along well, feel free to email or pop in to Suede Vintage for more gift ideas..........

Hope you are all having a good start to the week, my week started a little different as there was a pupil free day at the Primary school....so as it was a hot day I got to go for a swim with my sweet girls(minus the big one who is in highschool, but don't worry she had just had a pupil free day on Friday and went to the beach with her lovely friends:))

Oh! And also a select range of Found By Sarah purses, bunting and cushions are available at Milk Thieves in Wollongong NOW!Beautiful  vintage fabrics, with lace/doily details....I'm busy making more pieces to stock Suede Vintage Too!

My Garden

A little while ago I posted photos of my new garden.......Everything has grown, and all plants are doing really well. All the vegie/fruit plants are taken care of by my daughter Olivia(she seems to have a bit of a green thumb) and we are very excited to again have lots of roses in the garden to pick flowers from...........
